Learning Activities
At Morganton Road School many opportunities are provided for the students to excel and expand their horizons. Such activities as Quiz Bowl, the Geography Bee, the Spelling Bee, Reflections, and Civic Oration not only promote learning and proficiency in subject areas, they also provide an opportunity for students to experience the fun and excitement of competition.
Other activities such as BUGS and Honor Roll provide an incentive for students to improve academically and to be rewarded for their efforts. Developing leadership, strong character, and responsibility is the goal of Safety Patrol, Shining Star, and Student Government.
Environmental activities provide hands-on learning about our surroundings with the development of a butterfly garden, a bird sanctuary, school beautification and with the recycling of aluminum cans.
There is something for everyone at Morganton Road School, with opportunities providing each child with a chance to feel successful. It also helps each one become a responsible citizen of his or her community and a productive member of our society.
