Mission Statement

Principals' Message

I am very excited to become a part of the Morganton Road Elementary School family. I have worked in Cumberland County Schools for twenty years and am looking forward to embarking on a new journey. I am excited as we begin the new school year.
I am committed to providing the best educational experiences for our students at Morganton Road. As an educational team, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing, safe, and supportive learning environment. We believe that parents are our partners in the education of our children. We welcome parents to participate in all school-wide activities. If I can ever be of assistance, please call, email or visit the school. We like to ensure that all students will become lifelong learners who will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to lead fulfilling and productive lives in a democratic society that is constantly changing, culturally diverse, and technologically advanced.

Our mission statement is:

As a Longhorn, we will be:
Safe, Respectful and Kind, Responsible and Prepared
